Anderson Power Products (APP), a leader in the design and manufacture of interconnect solutions, is pleased to announce the release of the SPEC Pak 5 Position Mid Power – Solar product.
The SPEC Pak 5 Position Mid Power – Solarproduct is designed to work as an interconnect solution for use with inverters, junction boxes or metered connections and meets UL 6703 certification requirements within the Solar industry.
Engineered for Safety and the Elements
The Pin and Socket design is compatible with up to 8 AWG (8.4mm²) wire and delivers up to 60amps of power per UL 1977. Made from rugged PC/PBT blended materials, the SPEC Pak 5 Position Mid Power – Solar item can handle operating temperatures of -40°C (making it ideal for use in colder climates) to 105°C (-40°F to 221°F). This connector is environmentally sealed and ip68 rated for ingress protection against dust and water, while sealing glands accommodate both individual and jacketed cables. The outer shell housings feature robust metal latches designed to keep connectors securely mated and require a specialized tool to unlock per National Electric Code safety requirements. The keying feature within the housing, allows multiple connectors to be used side by side while preventing circuits with incompatible voltage from being connected.
